Welcome to the Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Neurosciences of the University of Bonn

The Master of Science in Neurosciences at the University of Bonn is a two-year research-oriented, international study program. The curriculum is taught entirely in English and divided into modules, combining courses, lectures, seminars and laboratory work.

The major objective of the MSc in Neurosciences program is to train talented students in the rapidly expanding field of Neuroscience. Successful graduates will be proficient to engage in future ground-breaking research and start careers in a large variety of associated medical and biological fields.

The program is open to domestic and international students holding a Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the life sciences, including Biology, Neurosciences, Medicine, Psychology, Biochemistry, Physics, Chemistry, Pharmacy or related fields. The academic year starts in mid-October, following a week of orientation (first or second week of October). Applications are welcome until March 15 of the year of enrolment.

Please find the application link on "Admission".

Two travel grants per annum are available for students of the Bonn MSc Neurosciences program. Find more information on "Finances".

The Bonn International Graduate Schools (BIGS) Neuroscience, BIGS Drugs and the Max Planck International Research School (IMPRS) for Brain and Behavior provide a coordinated curriculum that builds upon our Master Program Neurosciences. Those schools give the Master's students excellent prospects to advance their further scientific qualification in Bonn. On the other hand, the recruitment of young neuroscientists in these graduate programs is an important competitive advantage for Bonn as a research location.
